Blog Leave, Block Leave
the past sunday, over a dinner gathering, a colleague remarked that my blog has ceased operation, to which i replied "no, i was just away on blog leave". during this blog leave which lasted more than a month, not only have i not been writing blog entries, i also havent been reading the blog which i usually follow religiously. finally, i decided that its time to end my leave period. last night, i read through all the blog entries which i have not been reading. and now, im back at my own blog too.all right, my blog leave has come to an end, but im actually entering an era at my workplace where i will get to enjoy a couple of block leaves ("block leave" defined by myself as a period of at least a full week without going to work") in the coming year. as a cost-cutting measure with regards to employees' wages and company's utilities expenses in the new financial year, company will shut down office operations on compulsory no-pay leave days and common annual leave days, giving staff a "at least 3 day long" weekend every other week, plus a few block leaves in the coming year.although we will all be 26 days' wages poorer and will have less flexibility in utilising our annual leave, it seems that most of my colleagues are actually looking forward to this arrangement (as in the off days, but most definitely not the pay cut).

Hi JianRong, great to know that you are back from 'Blog Leave" .. :)
Just wondering if you will be posting the list of fun places you have been recommending on the radio show ...
Thanks and keep up the good work and your sense of humor!
